About Me
I’m a Site Reliability Engineer with a DevOps background and a lifelong passion for IT. From tinkering with code at an early age to building reliable, observable platforms for enterprise environments, my journey in technology has always been driven by curiosity, creativity, and a relentless desire to learn.
Early Beginnings
The Spark
At a young age, I was captivated by the power of the command-line interface (CLI) and the endless possibilities that coding offered. Being able to do whatever I wanted with a CLI was incredibly enriching and set the stage for my future in IT.
Memorable Project
At just 15, I launched one of the most successful Minecraft servers, managing 10 interconnected servers hosted on dedicated OVH infrastructure. This early project was a defining moment that fueled my passion for system architecture and network management.
Education & Impactful Projects
Foundational Studies
- High School: I built a strong foundation in low-level networking, learning the essential concepts that underpin modern IT infrastructures.
- Master’s Degree: My advanced studies introduced me to high-level tools such as Jenkins and cloud computing platforms, significantly shaping my professional skill set.
Academic Achievement
For my final school project, I developed an alerting and auto-blocking DDoS system. This project combined:
- BGP (Border Gateway Protocol)
- ElasticSearch
- Machine Learning (ML)
- JA3 Signature Analysis
This innovative solution to DDoS attacks remains one of my proudest accomplishments, showcasing my ability to integrate cutting-edge security measures with practical network solutions.
Professional Expertise
I work at the intersection of reliability engineering, observability, automation, and infrastructure. My background in systems, networking, and DevOps gives me a broad operational view, while my current focus is on Kubernetes platforms, log and metrics pipelines, and tooling that helps teams diagnose problems faster and operate with confidence.
Open Source Contributions
🌟 I actively contribute to the open source community through projects like my Terraform Provider for Centreon V2 API (GitHub) and SSHplex (GitHub, Blog Post). The Centreon provider enables infrastructure as code capabilities for the Centreon monitoring platform, while SSHplex is a modern terminal UI for SSH connection multiplexing that combines NetBox, Ansible, Consul, and static lists as sources of truth, with three mux backends: tmux standalone, tmux plus iTerm2, and native iTerm2 on macOS.
Reliability, Platform & Automation:
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes operations, Helm charts, Argo CD, and container image workflows.
- Comfortable building and maintaining CI/CD workflows with Jenkins and GitLab, supported by Terraform and Ansible when automation is needed around the platform.
- Focused on turning operational knowledge into internal tooling that improves diagnosis, safety, and day-to-day platform reliability.
Observability & Operations:
- Daily work with Grafana, Loki, Thanos, Vector, Splunk, and AWS CloudWatch to improve visibility, troubleshooting, and operational maturity.
- Strong interest in SLO-driven engineering, query performance analysis, and building guardrails around AI-assisted platform workflows.
Infrastructure Foundations:
- Built a solid foundation through on-premise and multi-datacenter projects involving Proxmox, networking, routing, firewalling, and production migrations.
- This systems background remains a major strength in my SRE work, especially when reliability issues cross application, platform, and infrastructure boundaries.
Current Role at Kindred France
At Kindred France, I evolved from a system engineering role into an SRE position. My current work is centered on observability, diagnostics, and platform reliability, with a strong emphasis on Kubernetes-based systems.
- Managing Loki and Thanos in Kubernetes, with Grafana and Vector as core observability components.
- Building a HouseKeeping tool to diagnose stale and broken resources in Grafana and improve platform hygiene.
- Creating a Search Query Exporter to investigate search slowness and define SLOs across Thanos, Loki, and Splunk.
- Building a Grafana AI Agent with enterprise-ready safeguards, including RBAC-aware behavior and MCP-based diagnosis flows.
Recent Learning
Over the last six months, I deepened my hands-on expertise in several areas that support my transition toward an SRE-focused profile:
- Kubernetes operations, Helm charts, Argo CD, and container image lifecycle management.
- Jenkins and GitLab delivery workflows.
- Splunk, AWS CloudWatch, and CUR2 for observability and cost-aware analysis.
- AI-assisted tooling used in a pragmatic, enterprise-ready way for operations and diagnosis.
Commitment to Open Source & Continuous Learning
I am a passionate advocate for open source and Linux communities. I contribute not only through code but also by improving documentation and sharing knowledge. Staying up-to-date is a daily habit - whether through online tutorials, RSS feeds, or technical communities, I continuously explore new ideas in SRE, observability, infrastructure, and AI-assisted operations.
Personal Interests
Beyond the world of IT, I have a range of interests that complement and enrich my professional life:
- Cars & Mechanics: My passion for automobiles and mechanics helps sharpen my problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Watches & Photography: These hobbies nurture my appreciation for precision and aesthetics.
- Fitness: Regular gym sessions keep me energized, focused, and ready to tackle new challenges.
